Last quarter we talked about stretching our technical wings, about exploring social networking and about bringing our game to a new level.

We're happy to report a number of you met us half way and either joined our communities on Facebook, Flickr or Goodreads.  YEAY!  This quarter, we'd like you to join us on LinkedIn, where "Over 24 million professionals use LinkedIn to exchange information, ideas and opportunities".  We'd also like you to join us on a more time consuming and potentially emotionally risky escapade: we'd like to see you at the next WICT event.  If you can't? Never fear.  We realize that not everyone can attend WICT functions due to various reasons - financial, scheduling conflicts (business or personal) or logistics, but we've got great news - you can be active in WICT without being physically present at any or every event! 

Our challenge this quarter is that you take a moment, quiet your mind, and think about what being active means to you.   Is it volunteering for a committee, writing (or commenting) about industry events and trends on the blog, or even communicating with fellow WICT members using one of our online community tools? 

If any of these little side trips sound like a great adventure to you, or your vision of being active is one of the seven bijillion ideas not listed here, we want you to know we're waiting.
